Itoi Toi of Neo-Porte made a pumpkin tart for the first time on a Halloween cooking stream on Saturday, and ate it on air after about three hours. She said it was also the first time she had bought a pumpkin.

With no baking tools at home, she skipped the baked crust. She crushed Marie biscuits and Oreos in zip bags by hitting them against the floor with a cup, then bound the crumbs with butter that she melted in a rice bowl. She said the crushing alone took about 30 minutes, longer than she had expected from a recipe she thought would be quick.

“I realized pumpkin is easier than I thought.” — Itoi Toi, after tasting the finished tart

The pumpkin was the part she knew least. She microwaved it to soften it, scooped out the flesh with a spoon and mixed in butter, heavy cream, an egg and sugar before microwaving the filling for about four minutes. While the tart chilled for an hour, she turned the stream into a *zatsudan*, or chat stream, about Halloween memories, a Christmas market she wants to visit and what she would cook for dinner.

The finished tart was cut into four. She said the crust was crumbly but that it tasted of pumpkin, and she topped it with whipped cream. She said she had found pumpkin easier than she thought and planned to try simmered pumpkin next.

Near the end she said a 3D live is set for Dec. 29 at Tachikawa Stage Garden, with ticket presales open, and that she has been practicing dance at home every day. She also thanked viewers for her first cover song passing one million plays; the song is in the arcade rhythm game Polaris Code.

Chat filled with Halloween greetings at the start, and with applause and congratulations when she announced the million plays. Viewers sent 11 Super Chats and Stickers, which she read near the close.
