Dola Sings One Song Twice, in Two Keys, During Halloween-Only Karaoke Stream

NIJISANJI — Dola, a Nijisanji streamer in the 08Ex-SEEDs group, sang a Halloween-themed set on Oct. 31 and performed one song twice, once in its original key and once four keys lower, after chat disagreed over which suited it better.

The 69-minute singing stream (*utawaku*) opened with a Halloween greeting and a first song, “Happy Halloween.” Dola said she had searched for Halloween songs and found fewer than expected, so she widened the list to anything that felt Halloween-like. Her set included the anime theme “Kaibutsu” (“Beast”), which she called a Halloween song on the grounds that it is about monsters, a vampire-themed song with a very high range, and an Idolmaster Halloween song she said she had not sung in six years. She danced while singing that one.

“You said the cheerful one earlier. This is how you all cheat on me.” — Dola, teasing chat after the lowered-key song

Before the vampire song, Dola asked chat whether she should lower the key for a cooler sound or sing it in the original for a cuter one. Chat was split, so she began with the original key. Near the end of the stream she came back to the song at minus four. Chat favored the lower version, with some viewers saying it sounded more relaxed. Dola joked that the same people had asked for the cheerful version minutes earlier.

The middle of the stream moved through other Halloween favorites, including a newer song tied to Gakuen Idolmaster, a track she called a zombie song, a song she said is used for the zombies at Universal Studios Japan (she called it difficult and said she would try again), and a 2009 song from the Vocaloid era. Before the close she sang a song she described as a first attempt, saying it was hard and she was nervous about it.

Dola said she had planned fewer songs than usual so she could get home early on Halloween night. She closed the stream with one more song, wished viewers a good Halloween and noted that only two months of 2026 were left. Chat answered with clapping and ghost emotes, and the stream drew 12 Super Chats.
