Mint Fantome spent about two and a half hours of a three-hour stream on Terrible Lizards, a parkour mascot-horror game set in a roadside dinosaur museum, and came away saying she liked it. She started out unsure. The genre, she said, is not the kind she usually plays, but the dinosaurs persuaded her to try it, and she planned to drop it if it did not click.

She opened the stream in an Alice in Wonderland costume, announcing herself as “Alice in dino land,” and told viewers she was under the weather with a headache. The game’s camera gave her trouble early. She lowered the mouse sensitivity, cut the head bob and the strafe tilt in the accessibility menu, and said the wobble still bothered her. She also said the game had been released the same day.

“This was actually pretty fun. I liked this game. I thought it was fun.” — Mint Fantome, after escaping a chase

The player character is Jordan, a track-and-field student and engineer whose car breaks down outside a dinosaur attraction near Gallup, New Mexico. A woman named Stella guides him by phone. Mint praised the animatronic exhibits and the effort put into the educational displays, and she laughed at the game’s nods to Twin Peaks, which she had been watching, and to Dead by Daylight. After a first chase scare about an hour in, the game turned darker. She restored power to flood lights while a long-necked creature crashed through the room, then went underground to start two generators, working through timed doors and a chase through the caves.

She closed by saying she would likely play the game again and finish it. Next, she said, she planned to stream Alan Wake and hoped to feel better by Halloween. She also said she wanted to try a dinosaur-themed tidying game the following week.

Chat opened with a wave of greetings, and the stream drew 164 Super Chats and Stickers. Viewers sent wishes to feel better and praised Jordan’s acrobatics, and the sign-off filled with lizard and heart emotes.
