Mint Fantome assembled and decorated a haunted cookie house from a store-bought kit during her yearly Halloween craft stream, a hand cam in which she says she possesses a person so viewers can watch the work. By about two hours in, the house was standing, and she called it “a rousing success” that had not needed hot glue and had only fallen apart a little.

The build did not go smoothly. The icing pouches were stiff, and she spent several minutes cutting and re-cutting the tips with scissors, and at one point her teeth, before kneading the bags finally got the icing flowing. The walls then refused to line up. Calling herself “an architect,” she propped the panels together by hand and kept patching with more icing. The roof came next, piped and topped with the kit’s ghosts, pumpkins, bats and bones, along with a path of leaves, a wreath and a cookie cat. Her path drew a joke from chat that it looked like legs, and she insisted it was a pathway.

Her cat, Johnny, kept interrupting. The crinkle of the icing bags brought him to the desk early on, and he went after the cookies and icing until she carried him out of the room and gave him treats. Later she brought him back on camera to say goodbye to viewers. Mint also said she plans to adopt a second cat, probably next month, because Johnny is lonely and clingy and has been making it hard to work.

The stream was the first hand cam in her new maid cafe set, and she said she wanted to eat the finished house. Chat joked about the build throughout, and the stream drew 124 Super Chats and Stickers.
