Elu the Elf Clears the Bardock DLC of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Blind, Through to Goku’s Origin
The game then unlocked a Vegeta chapter, and the stream carried on into it.
NIJISANJI — Elu the Elf cleared the Bardock DLC of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on a first playthrough, following the Saiyan warrior from his days raiding planets for Frieza’s army to the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the scene in which an infant with a tail is taken in by Grandpa Gohan and named Goku. It was the ninth installment of Elu’s Kakarot series.
The early hours were lighter. Elu noticed that the Saiyans’ names are vegetable puns, a discovery that drew a stream of chat messages. Bardock’s side missions included a fishing trip with his squadmates and an errand for a self-described top chef of Frieza’s army. Asked which character Elu would want as a friend, Elu picked two of Bardock’s squadmates, saying they would like to go fishing and eat good food with them.
“It ties into the main story, so it can’t be helped, but it’s such a bad ending that it’s sad.” — Elu, after finishing the Vegeta chapter
The story turned when Bardock, haunted by visions of the future, learned that Frieza’s forces had cut down his squad. A dying squadmate told him that Frieza had betrayed the Saiyans and urged him to return and rally them. No one believed him. In the final stretch he fought through soldiers and Frieza’s lieutenant Dodoria, then Frieza himself, before the planet was destroyed. Elu said it was sad, and noted that Bardock and his comrades had spent their days taking other people’s ordinary lives.
Elu liked that the curse of seeing grim futures became Bardock’s last hope. Chat followed the finale closely. As Frieza’s attack landed, viewers wrote that Bardock had seen hope in his son, and during the naming scene they pointed out that the name Goku came from the child arriving from the sky.
Once the DLC was cleared, the game unlocked a Vegeta chapter, and Elu started it. It follows the young prince as he clears planets alongside Nappa and ends with word that Planet Vegeta is gone. Elu closed the stream by saying they would be back at 8 p.m. that night.
