MERIDIAN PROJECT — Mizuki, a Meridian Project artist, ran a karaoke stream on Wednesday afternoon pitched at people on their way home from work or school, and closed it by steering viewers toward a werewolf-game collab planned for the same evening.
The stream, titled as an after-work, after-class sing-along, opened with songs in Japanese and English. Later in the stream Mizuki introduced a winter song, describing it as a little happy and a little sad, and sang it as chat filled with glow-stick emotes.
“Some of you may still be at work. Good work today.” — Mizuki, near the end of the stream
Close to the end she checked in on the audience, asking whether their hour-and-a-half commutes had been manageable and acknowledging those still at work. She said she wanted a break and mentioned that her throat felt dry in the season’s dry weather, then picked one last song. She called the session a sudden, shorter-than-usual afternoon karaoke of about two hours, and thanked viewers for their song requests, noting that time was tight and some requests had not been reached.
Mizuki said a collab stream of a medieval-themed werewolf game would start at 8 p.m., after a break of a little over an hour. She said she had not played it in a long time and would be joined by some players new to it and others she had not played with in years. She called the game more engaging than traditional werewolf because players still have plenty to do after being eliminated.
She added that there would be one more collab the following day, after which she would be off for the weekend and return to streaming the week after. Viewers reacted to the sign-off with applause emotes and messages thanking her for the effort, and some said they would see her on the game channel later.
