Ookami Mio Reaches Floor 27 of Torneko’s Dungeon, but Falls on the Climb Back Up
Learning on stream that the goal was a Box of Happiness to carry out on foot, she was defeated before reaching the exit, then dived again.
HOLOLIVE — Ookami Mio of Hololive (GAMERS) got as deep as floor 27 of Torneko no Daibōken, the Dragon Quest-series roguelike dungeon game, on Wednesday, only to be defeated on the way back up. She said she had forgotten the objective until then: a Box of Happiness waiting on that floor, which had to be carried to the surface on foot.
She began the stream by recalling that her previous run ended on floor 24 after she let her HP slip. This time she picked up a cursed Ring of No Hunger in the early floors and a Dragon Killer sword, later enhanced to +4. Items were stolen from her more than once, and a rusted shield and a run of unidentified wands and rings kept her gear thin. After a short break for water and a snack, she dropped into the lower floors, where she said she spotted what might be the dragon of the stream title. Chat greeted it with 「タイトル回収!」 (“Title callback!”).
“I learned the Box of Happiness is on floor 27, so next time I can head straight for it.” — Ookami Mio, closing the stream
On floor 27 she was caught off guard to learn the stairs were not the goal. Told she could not use an escape scroll for the return, she began climbing, but with no items to be found on the way up and a dangerous monster in her path, she ran out of options. “Looks like it’s over,” she said, before wondering aloud what the Box of Happiness even was. Chat cheered the climb with 「家に帰るまでが遠足です」 (“The trip isn’t over until you’re home”) and, as it went wrong, 「トルネコの冒険、完!!」 (“Torneko’s adventure, the end!!”).
Back at the shop, an in-game conversation with the king and a rhyme from an old book confirmed that the box lies on floor 27. The shop’s new storage lets her leave up to 10 items for later runs. She dived again, but with weak weapons and too many wands she turned back with a Return scroll on what she said was floor 13, stored her best items and ended the stream there, saying the YouTube connection was unstable. She plans to aim for floor 27 next time.
