Aizawa Ema Spends Five Hours Putting a New Leverless Controller Through Street Fighter 6
The VSpo streamer showed off a see-through, glass-accented build she had picked for its looks, and her hands were aching by the end.
VSPO — Aizawa Ema, a streamer with VSpo, opened a five-hour Street Fighter 6 stream on Sunday by showing a new leverless controller that had just arrived. A leverless controller replaces the joystick with buttons. She said the case was see-through inside, with glass worked into it, and that she had put most of her effort into how it looked, leaving the internals to others.
The button layout matched the controller she had built before. She said she had wanted a new device partly because the old one might have a faulty contact, and she compared the feel of two button types she uses, saying one seemed a little softer and the other a little firmer. She said she rotates between several controllers depending on her mood.
“I’ve done ‘one more win’ about three rounds over today. Well, I had fun, so it’s okay.” — Aizawa Ema, near the end of the stream
She started with Shoryuken practice, working on the motion and on stopping at the second hit of a combo, before moving into ranked matches. Along the way she talked about quitting piano lessons as a child after about six years, after a chat message about pianists’ finger skills. Later, deep into the matches, she explained that she keeps the Zangief and Blanka costumes fixed because the alternates are hard to read on screen.
Matches filled most of the evening, with a steady run of fireball exchanges, Drive Impact misfires and a few close rounds that she won on the final hit. She said she kept pressing buttons out of habit, and as the hours passed she said her hands and fingers hurt. Around the four-and-a-half-hour mark she noted she did not want to end on a loss.
She closed at about five hours, saying her plans for the next day were undecided and that she would probably keep playing off stream. The chat sent 17 Super Chats, and viewers greeted the new controller when it first appeared on screen.
