PHASE CONNECT — Bibi Biscuit, a Phase Connect streamer in the SAGA debut group, marked one year since her debut with a 147-minute karaoke stream. She opened by telling viewers, “I’ve been alive for one year,” and spent the first hour talking through the past year before turning to songs.
Looking back, she said the biggest change was in her own life, which she said had changed for the better. She said she is far busier than before, to the point that she books friends a month or more in advance, and that she sleeps about five to six hours a night. She said she could not in good conscience recommend her schedule to friends, but that she is happy and enjoys the work. Asked which moments stood out, she named her Mina ASMR stream and said the most important thing to come out of the year was becoming close friends with Ivy. Asked what she wants to do next, she listed more cooking, finishing more games, more roleplay streams and keeping up her YouTube videos and Shorts, and said she considers consistency her biggest accomplishment so far.
“I think the major thing is how much my life has changed for the better. And I really am appreciative of that.” — Bibi Biscuit, reflecting on her first year
Karaoke began at about the one-hour mark. She had no microphone set up on that computer and joked that a spoon would stand in for one, then tried out reverb and an autotune effect. She said she had downloaded the autotune only for meme use, and she used it on a run through Caramelldansen, which she later called the highlight of the day. The set list included Britney Spears’ “Circus,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” and “All Star,” which she found lower than she remembered. She also took a request for “Teenage Dirtbag” but could not recall the opening, and she left it for another time. She closed the main set with the acoustic version of a song of her own that had been nearing 100,000 views earlier in the stream.
Before signing off she thanked viewers, saying her success was also thanks to them, and called the group of fans she talks with every stream the best one she could have gone through the year with. When viewers asked for an encore she sang an idol song that viewers had suggested. She said she had not had time to read the Kudoboard viewers had made for her and would schedule a separate stream for it, and she said her next stream, on Wednesday, would be a spooky one.
Chat filled with applause and anniversary greetings throughout, and viewers sent 52 Super Chats and Stickers over the course of the stream.
