Mikage Sings Through the Night, and a Stuffy Nose Clears Along the Way

RK MUSIC — Mikage, a ghost streamer with RK Music, sang her way through a late-night *utawaku*, or singing stream, in vertical format, working through more than a dozen songs over roughly three hours. She opened from under her kotatsu, the heated table, with a blocked nose, and said she expected singing to clear it.

It did. After the fourth song she said her nose was breathing much more easily, and by the 1:13 mark of the stream both nostrils were open. “I’m really enjoying the air going into my nose,” she told viewers. Partway through she remarked that she seemed to be singing more than usual, and the set ran from her first song, “Aoi Shiori,” through “Tentai Kansoku” to a closing number she announced as the last of the night.

“It’s a happy thing when people tell you your singing made them happy. I’m super happy too.” — Mikage, between songs

Two things interrupted the music. Around 2:33 her avatar froze when she tried to smile and then dropped off screen; she was back within a couple of minutes and joked that such things happen to a ghost. Later, a song about a hole in the heart set off a run of oden jokes in chat. Mikage played along, saying she would tuck warm oden into the hole, and answered the “heart full of oden” line by saying she would run on oden power.

Between songs she talked about the cold, the layers she wears under the kotatsu, and her 1.5-year anniversary coming on November 9. She also welcomed six Super Chats along the way. She signed off wishing viewers good dreams.
