Projekt Melody Starts Ocarina of Time Spoiler-Free as Chat Answers Navi With ‘Hey, Listen’
The independent Twitch streamer gave the mascot on her stream a November makeover before heading into Kokiri Forest.
INDEPENDENT — Projekt Melody, an independent streamer on Twitch, began a playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Friday in a stream labeled 18+. She told viewers she was going in without spoilers: all she had heard, she said, was that the version she was playing is a remake that is not exactly the same as the original, and she had watched nothing about it.
Before the game, she spent the opening minutes updating Sharky, the shark mascot on her stream. She had a turkey version ready for November but wondered aloud whether there was something other than turkey, and asked chat for ideas, such as a new hat or a lasagna costume. She said she does not know how to animate and would use whatever the people who animate the shark came up with, as long as it was funny or cute.
“Oh god, the music, I’m a kid again.” — Projekt Melody, on hearing the game’s music
Once the game was running, a viewer gifted five Tier 1 subscriptions to the community, and she thanked them. She said she had promised herself she would say nothing weird during the stream, then laughed that she had not noticed a lewd detail in an image she had just posted, adding that she was so used to such things that they had become invisible.
The mood in chat peaked when Navi woke Link and told him the Great Deku Tree had asked for him. Viewers flooded the chat with ‘Hey, listen,’ and joked that the fairy had Melody’s own coordination. As the Kokiri Forest music played, she said the music made her feel like a kid again. She followed the scene in which the other Kokiri tease Link for having no fairy, joking along that she, too, was bullied.
Toward the end, she set out to earn money for the Deku shield, joking that it was time to rob someone while chat reminded her that legendary heroes do not rob. She searched the village for rupees, reaching 27, and found that the Lost Woods would need a sword before she could go in.
