Saeir Alarie Borrows a Neighbor’s Puppy and Plays Resident Evil 2 on Hard Mode
The session ended in Umbrella’s underground facility, and the streamer said an Ocarina of Time remake stream begins Monday.
FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION — Saeir Alarie of FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION’s English-language unit, EN Sontaris, played Resident Evil 2 on hard mode on Friday with a neighbor’s puppy in the lap, working through the Raccoon City police station and the sewers below it and ending in Umbrella’s underground facility.
A dog barking next door could be heard from the first minutes of the stream. After joking that they should go kidnap it, Saeir Alarie left for a few minutes and returned with the puppy, saying it looked like a mini poodle mix. Later the streamer admitted to having “stolen” the dog because of the noise, then agreed with a viewer that it was a loan. The puppy dozed on the armrest and in the lap for most of the evening, left the room when a housemate came home, and was back in the lap before the stream ended.
“Resident Evil 2 featuring Puppy.” — Saeir Alarie, settling in with the puppy
The game itself was a first playthrough, and hard mode kept supplies thin. Saeir Alarie lost the knife early, said more than once that they wished for another, and repeatedly ran low on ammunition after the kennel dogs got loose. A tall pursuer, called Tyrant on stream, stalked the station and forced several restarts, and the sewer alligator took about five tries by the streamer’s count. Ada Wong joined Leon for the descent. The streamer saved in the underground facility after four hours and called the progress decent.
The streamer also said they had been cleared to stream The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake and would begin on Monday, with a second stream planned for Saturday. Danganronpa will not continue next week because the permission needed for each stream did not arrive in time, and the streamer said they would now request it two weeks ahead.
Chat followed the puppy closely, joking about a live dognapping and asking about the neighbors. Eight paid messages came in, a few of them about the puppy.
