Marie☆FD Returns From Time Away With a Late Zelda, Pink Christmas Nails and a Wii Grudge

INDEPENDENT — Marie☆FD came back to streaming with a long chat stream, telling viewers she had missed them “so, so, so much” after time away. She said she had taken about ten extra minutes to go live because she had half forgotten what she needed to set up first, and that she had been sitting at her PC the whole time.

She said insomnia had left her with about half an hour of sleep the night before, then about three hours altogether once a pre-stream nap was counted. She showed a photo of her new nails, a pink Christmas design she called “Barbie Christmas”, and admitted she had liked her previous set better. She also opened a running joke with chat over what Latin Americans call Grand Theft Auto, saying she grew up saying “Grande Falto” and had since been told by chat that everyone now says GTA.

The main topic of the evening was Zelda. Marie☆FD said she had bought a Zelda Switch, but because she lives outside the United States it has to be shipped to an American address and then forwarded through customs, so it would not reach her until some time between November 25 and early December. She said she worried that by then viewers would have grown tired of the hype around the game, and asked whether chat would mind if she played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in December. She said she had finished only one and a half Zelda games and had never played the older ones, and that friends kept telling her to wait for the water temple without explaining why. Chat answered with “CONGRATS MARIE!!!” when she said she had the console, and then filled the screen with “water temple”.

Later she told a story about her mother giving her Wii to another child without asking, which she said she would never let go. Chat joked that she should be sent a modified one. She said she had been “legally bound” to state on stream that she does not support piracy, and said it took her a long search to find an unmodified PlayStation 2 when she lived in Japan, so that nothing she showed on stream would cause trouble.

Before signing off, Marie☆FD thanked viewers for the messages and said she felt good to be home, then said she would be back on Friday. Chat closed with a string of “OtsuMarie” and hearts.
