Shishido Akari Scrims for Five Hours Before the Final Day of LTK’s Regular Stage
She played League of Legends with Kanae, Takamiya Rion and Asumi Sena, and spent much of the night weighing whether Ashe was the right pick.
NIJISANJI — Shishido Akari of Nijisanji spent more than five hours on Thursday evening in League of Legends practice matches with Kanae, Takamiya Rion and Asumi Sena of VSpo, among others, the day before the last day of the regular stage of the #LTK event. Each of the four streamed the session from their own channel.
The session opened with talk over picks and matchups, then moved into games. In the second half the group went back through earlier fights, discussing when to commit to a clash and how to make calls in the moment. They also agreed to practice taking fights from the front during the two open weeks of scrims before the playoffs.
“Something just doesn’t feel right. I don’t know why. Even I don’t really understand it.” — Shishido Akari, on playing Ashe
Akari’s own pick drew the most discussion. She said she was unsure whether Ashe, a marksman, was the right choice, and teammates told her she was playing the champion well. She decided to try it again more aggressively and to raise it once more if it did not work. Near the end of the night she said it still did not feel right to her and that she could not say why, adding that she had been told her ultimate did not have to land every time.
Chat followed along throughout. Viewers wrote “nice fight” after an early loss, cheered “huge ult” during a team fight near the four-hour mark, and sent Super Chats wishing the team luck for the next day.
The group called it a day a little before the five-hour mark after sketching out likely matchups for the following day and agreeing to regroup at around 3 p.m. Akari then stayed on to talk through her Ashe play. She said she was sleepy, signed off, and told viewers she would see them the next day.
