Daisy Ignacia Y Shows Off a New Camera After a Week Away at CF
Daisy said the purchase was paid for in part with viewers’ donations and merchandise sales, then briefly switched to a plainer webcam for comparison.
MAHA5 — Daisy Ignacia Y, a member of MAHA5’s fourth generation (ID 4th Generation), opened a long handcam stream on Saturday night by showing a new camera. Daisy said the picture was no longer the “disaster” viewers had joked about, and that the purchase was an impulsive one they had never expected to make.
Daisy had just returned to Solo after a week away at CF, and began the stream eating satay on camera, calling themselves an ordinary citizen again. Viewers greeted them with the usual roll call and asked whether the stream was a review of souvenirs and merchandise from the event. Daisy spoke of the stream title’s planned unboxing, but kept putting it off in favor of other things to show.
“Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given me.” — Daisy Ignacia Y, as they introduced the new camera
Daisy thanked viewers, merchandise buyers and donors, and said part of the money for the new device came from donations and merchandise sales. Daisy added that the stream was still running through a shared video-call setup, so the image was a little grainy, though better than before.
Later Daisy scrolled through photos taken on the new camera. One shot from the end of a booth day, taken to document the booth, came out with an odd shape in it. Daisy said it was real footage and that they did not know why it looked that way, and chat quickly called it creepy. Another batch came from a trip to Jakarta: hazy streets, a first sight of the National Monument from a bus, a first ride on the busway and a night walk along Sudirman.
Daisy then tried a plainer webcam for comparison. The picture dropped sharply and the microphone sounded robotic, which chat noticed at once. Daisy joked that it was the kind of equipment viewers had watched them stream with before, and that it showed how much better the new setup was.
Near the end of the stream, Daisy said another stream was planned for that night, a talk with two other talents. Daisy also said registration for a drawing class in December would open this month, with only 10 places taken as a trial, and that details and a form would follow in the next stream. Mail orders for people who missed the CF merchandise would also be announced then.
