Locked Out of Steam, Anya Melfissa Fills 90 Minutes With Vlog Stories and Banner Predictions

HOLOLIVE — Anya Melfissa of Hololive Indonesia switched to a free talk on Monday night after she could not log in to her Steam account. She said she had tried clearing her cache and logging in from her phone, the Steam app and the web, and that the fix appeared to require a refresh from Steam’s side. She had never had the problem before and planned to contact customer support.

She had meant to play Holodori, the Hololive mobile game, but said viewers might have had enough of it, so she opened the stream with a chat instead. Her main topic was the recent Hololive travel vlog series filmed in Indonesia. She said she had watched the other two episodes and that the members shot on different dates in separate groups, which is why fans saw so few tweets between them. She added that the funniest part of her own segment, in which a wave caught the members at the beach and sent them to buy sandals, was cut from the final video.

She also talked about the cats she met at the last filming location, which she said she petted at every break while the rest of the group rested. Asked by a Super Chat what her Halloween costume would be, she said a witch, or something inspired by a fairy tale such as Red Riding Hood. Elephants and rabbits, she added, are her favorite animals.

Later she asked chat for underrated islands ahead of the Holodori bingo draw, due on Tuesday, in which the prize is a trip to an island of the winner’s choice. Suggestions ranged from Easter Island to a Madagascar prison island, and she searched out island resorts before stopping for fear of jinxing herself. She then predicted the lineup for the next Holodori banner, picking several members and reasoning that Nerissa would be saved for Halloween, and asked viewers to note her guesses so they could be checked the next day.

Eight Super Chats came in during the stream. Anya closed by saying she would contact Steam support and, if her account came back, play Holodori on Tuesday night; otherwise she would stream something else.
