Ieiri Popo Tells Viewers She Will Join a Six-Streamer Bleach Mirrors High Relay That Night
The 774inc streamer said the 9 p.m. sponsored broadcast follows Usada Pekora’s, and that her free 3D anniversary live is two days later.
774INC — Ieiri Popo of 774inc said on Sunday that she would play the new mobile game Bleach Mirrors High in a sponsored broadcast at 9 p.m. Japan time that night, a job she said she had been nervous about since it was announced. She told viewers during her morning Cookie Clicker chat stream that she had barely slept.
The broadcast is part of a relay of six streamers, she said. Usada Pekora streams at 6 p.m., and Popo follows at 9 p.m. Under the relay’s format, each streamer guesses which of the 13 Court Guard Companies the next one would join, so Pekora is to guess Popo’s, and Popo is to guess Ibrahim’s. Popo described herself as a longtime Bleach fan and said she had downloaded the game privately and pulled the gacha in advance but saved the story for the broadcast. She said the game tells an original story set after the anime’s finale, with new characters drawn by the series’ creator.
“At last, I get to do a game stream with a sponsorship in it.” — Ieiri Popo, announcing the Bleach job
The stream opened with Popo talking about the sudden cold, a swollen mobile battery she has stopped using and a ramen set that caught her eye while she was shopping online. She later spent a long stretch on the Resident Evil film and a Shibuya exhibition for the series’ 30th anniversary, where she said she photographed displays, turned a valve handle and came home with a pair of slippers shaped like a Licker.
Popo also said her 3D anniversary live would start at 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 on her own channel, free to watch, and that she was still learning the dance. She said she would take Monday off to rehearse, appear at Takahashi Kobato’s birthday live on Wednesday and start a week of GTA role-play on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Chat answered the Bleach announcement with a run of applause and congratulations.
