Lan Philia Previews Her LSPD Officer Ahead of District V2 and Finds a Car That Shoots

AEGIS-LINK — Lan Philia of Aegis-Link spent a stream on a test server the night before District V2, the Grand Theft Auto roleplay server, opened. An admin command spawned a vehicle called the Vigilante, and she found out it was armed. “I thought the reticle was a light that was broken. No, it’s a freaking gun,” she said, after discovering that the car also had a turbo. Chat took one look at it and started calling it the Batmobile.

She also talked about her District V2 character, an LSPD officer who is from Shanghai and who she said would speak more Cantonese than Mandarin. She said her main aim was to be a decent officer, that she would not be piloting this season, and that she planned to be outgoing despite being the opposite herself. She noted that the test server was not the District V2 server, and that her character looked different there for that reason.

With viewers she talked through what to expect when District V2 opened the next day. She said more than 200 players had been listed from the released IDs, which she put at two to three times the size of District V1, and she said she was looking forward to the gang wars, the number of Filipino and Malaysian VTubers taking part, and the paperwork, calling report writing something she loved. She said she liked that characters have no names above their heads.

Partway through, she learned that viewers had not been hearing the game audio, only her voice and the background music, and that her crashes had gone unheard. A reset of her setup fixed it. B, who plays Aria Adler, then joined to confirm the sound was working, and the two went up in a police helicopter.

She closed the night with B coaching her through flying. She called it the first time she had flown like that, said the crashes had been messy but that she understood altitude much better than she had four hours earlier, and said she would practice. She raided Nana’s stream, where Nana was introducing her District V2 character, and said she would be back for the first day of District V2.
