Vestia Zeta and Kaela Kovalskia Reunite for a Burnt-Fries Kitchen Co-op After a Year
The Hololive pair, playing as a carrot and a banana, switched to expert difficulty, gave it up and went back to normal over a 2 1/2-hour stream.
HOLOLIVE — Hololive’s Vestia Zeta and Kaela Kovalskia spent a 2 1/2-hour stream titled “we do a little cooking.” running a two-player restaurant kitchen game, their first collab in about a year. They opened by greeting each other and agreeing that it had been a year since they last teamed up, then said they were going back to the old-school collabs of their early days.
In the game, the pair played as a carrot and a banana, cooking burgers, fries, hash browns and drinks and throwing ingredients to each other across the kitchen. They started on normal difficulty, called it easy and switched to expert within minutes. Burnt food became the running theme: patties, fries and tomatoes came out black over and over, and at one point they noted that the cooks were a carrot and a banana, so the customers should have known what to expect.
“Every time we say it’s easy, something happens.” — Vestia Zeta and Kaela Kovalskia, mid-service
About an hour in, Zeta and Kaela decided expert was too hard and went back to normal, joking that a beginner should not give up easily. They also tried the game’s battle mode, a race to fill orders, and lost their first attempt. Later stages brought a blender for hash browns and sauces, a second fryer and cheers when a tight order was filled. They said they could not run in the game and that the one blender could not be left alone.
Chat opened with chants of “Taela” and kept up a stream of laughing emotes. Viewers called out the burnt food and Zeta’s panic as the pair rushed a late order. The stream drew four Super Chats. Near the end the pair took on battle mode again before leaving, and said they would see each other again next year.
As the stream closed, chat answered with “otsu” and asked the pair to collab more often.
