Violetta Calytrix Takes an Off-Road Car Up Snowy Mountains and Into the Desert

AKA VIRTUAL — Violetta Calytrix of AKA Virtual spent a Wednesday afternoon stream driving an off-road car up snowy mountain tracks and out across desert terrain in a game where progress means collecting car accessories and unlocking new vehicles. The drive kept being interrupted by slides, rollovers and tows.

Violetta Calytrix opened by saying the stream was an unusual daytime one, with a relaxed mood after several days of horror and story games. The streamer said they were waiting for Kala to set up a room, then spent the first stretch upgrading the car and fitting a winch and other parts before setting off on the climb.

The snow proved the first obstacle. Tires lost grip on ice, and after a slide the car ended up in deep water with its engine flooded. It was pulled out with a winch and a tow point, and Violetta Calytrix said they were glad to have brought the equipment. Later on a mountain track the car tipped over, and chat joked that it had gone to sleep. On a route that kept pointing the wrong way, the streamer joked that the guide must be using a blind map.

Farther on the scenery opened into desert, where the streamer said the tires gripped even less than on the mountain. Cars were pulled free in a chain that chat and the players called a Hydra formation. Along the way Violetta Calytrix unlocked an ice cream truck horn, honked it and called out “Who wants ice cream?”, and chat answered by ordering Oreo. The streamer also said they planned to make a livery for their own car from the template the game provides.

Violetta Calytrix signed off after about two and a quarter hours, saying they had to head out. The streamer said a later stream was possible that night but not certain.
