Tsuzuri, Towa and Suisei Win Three Apex Legends Matches in Newcomer’s First Collab
The trio played just under three hours, with a mic problem and a debate over what to call each other along the way.
HOLOLIVE — Tokoyami Towa, Hoshimachi Suisei and newcomer Suzuna Tsuzuri won three Apex Legends matches during a collaboration stream of just under three hours on Wednesday evening, Tsuzuri’s first collab with the two senior Hololive talents.
Tsuzuri, who debuted about a month ago, opened the stream nervous. Suisei, the most senior of the three, introduced herself first, then Towa, who gave her name as “Towa-sama” of Hololive’s fourth generation, and then Tsuzuri, who introduced herself as the talent in charge of *yoshi-yoshi*, or head pats. Tsuzuri said she had long admired StarTen, the Apex tournament team the two senpai once played on, and that watching it was how she came to know Hololive. She said her Apex account was new and that Valorant was the first game she ever played. The squad dropped onto World’s Edge, with the two senpai coaching her on weapons and positioning. Their first match ended in fourth place.
“I really felt like I had joined Hololive.” — Suzuna Tsuzuri, on her first collab with the two senpai
Partway through, the senpai noticed Tsuzuri’s voice repeatedly shrinking and turning tinny in the voice chat. They walked her through Discord’s noise suppression and input sensitivity settings and suggested she ask her staff about it after the stream; the problem eased and came back several times. It did not stop the squad: they took their first Champion finish at about the 75-minute mark and a second at about 1 hour 43 minutes. Between matches they talked about English-speaking newcomers, simulation games, and impressions, with Tsuzuri asking how to get better at them and one of the senpai running through a frog character and Goku.
A running thread was what Tsuzuri should call her seniors. She asked permission to use “Towa-sama”, the name she said was always in her head, and the answer was not immediate; chat piled on with “no” messages. By the end she had settled on “Towa-sama” and “Sui-chan”.
The third Champion finish came late in the stream. Asked how the first three hours with them had been, Tsuzuri said she had a great time and that the collab made her feel she had joined Hololive, something she said had not sunk in during her first month. The senpai told her they would do plenty more together. Chat answered each win with strings of “Nice” and “GG”.
