Chibidoki Goes From Taco Tuesday Chat to a Tornado Game With Friends
The independent Twitch streamer closed the night by lining up another session with the same group for next Tuesday.
INDEPENDENT — Chibidoki, an independent streamer on Twitch, spent Tuesday’s stream moving from a long chat with viewers to a tornado survival game with friends, and ended it by planning a follow-up session for next week.
She opened to a chat full of greetings, and the Spanish-and-English cheer of “Martes de tacos” took over once she started talking about Taco Tuesday. She asked viewers whether they liked her hat, joked in Spanish, and went on to talk about her years on the channel as subscribers marked their anniversaries.
“Language is, like, literally a lifelong commitment.” — chibidoki, on learning Spanish
Spanish was the running topic of the chat stretches. She asked chat where she could travel to spend a week speaking only Spanish, with Mexico, Spain, Venezuela and Chile all floated, wondered aloud why English says “Spain” while Spanish says “España,” and asked what the United States is called in Spanish. “Language is, like, literally a lifelong commitment,” she said, adding that she feels she will be asking what a word means every day for decades.
She then joined friends Matt and Ray, with Nagzz also in the party, for a game about surviving tornadoes. She warned that the rain in the game strained her stream quality and said she was recording for YouTube too. The group agreed to start on normal difficulty to see whether they remembered how to play, then scrambled to gather oil and coolant for their vehicle while storms closed in. She was killed during one run and brought back by Matt, who took the role of doctor. Along the way the group joked about a butt-themed emote that had flooded chat, with one of them saying it would be removed after the day.
Before signing off she said she dislikes the game’s acid rain and that its harder mode needs level 20, which she has not reached. The group then discussed trying a Hello Kitty party game next week and settled on shooting for Tuesday, Nov. 3. She said she would be out of town for a medical appointment and take about two days off, but promised a Halloween stream, then left to edit a YouTube video.
