Hakos Baelz Starts Weekly Ring Fit Adventure Training, Leaves Final Boss for Next Week
The hololive English -Promise- member beat several boss fights over nearly two hours but ran out of time before the game’s villain.
HOLOLIVE — Hakos Baelz of hololive English -Promise- opened a series of workout streams on Saturday with Ring Fit Adventure, playing for just under two hours and finishing with the game’s villain still undefeated. She told viewers she had a time limit and would take him on next week.
The stream, titled “Ring Fit Adventure: Road to Regalia Training,” was billed as the start of a month-long countdown to Regalia. Baelz, who said she had just come back from another country and was running on about five hours of sleep, called the game a good way to build stamina. She stretched with the game’s warm-up, then moved into the story mode, where the four masters who serve as trainers had been captured and had to be rescued.
“Oh my god, that was a good little morning exercise.” — Hakos Baelz, after the closing stretches
Most of the session was spent in boss battles that run on squats, abs work and hip shakes. She reached level 40 at about the 37-minute mark of the stream, spent skill points and rebuilt her set of exercises, and later cleared further fights, cheering “Victory” after one of them. She worked through the fights while joking about her low funds and her sore arms, and at one point had her mother bring a jacket to cushion her plank on the carpet.
The final fight did not finish in time. After a stretch in which she said she was close to dropping, Baelz told the game’s villain she would finish him off next week, then laughed at the game’s tally of her exercise time, saying it felt like two hours. She closed with the game’s cooldown stretches and said she would stream weekly Ring Fit sessions until Regalia to stay on track.
Chat answered her early collapse in the first fight with jokes about the rat being down, then turned to applause and thanks near the end. The stream drew 10 Super Chats. Near the close Baelz thanked viewers for the response to her “Headshot” music video, which she said reached 2 million views in under a week. She also said she would stream at 10 p.m. JST the next day to talk about her trip to Korea.
