Aranis Elvene of Pixela Project (Pixela Isekai, 2nd generation) spent Friday evening talking about food on a stream titled “A Dinner Worthy of an Elf,” and ended up in a friendly debate with chat over whether rice and curry should be mixed or eaten spoonful by spoonful.

Aranis opened by saying a sneeze had nearly hit just as the stream was going live. Viewers answered with advice to look after themselves as the weather changes.

“I like the rice soaked through with the sauce.” — Aranis Elvene, on how she eats rice and curry

The meal was a retail curry that Aranis said was picked up at a Don Quijote discount store on a night when hunger got Aranis out of bed. It tasted good, Aranis said, but it was only a broth with no meat or vegetables, so the toppings had to be added by hand. Chat agreed that meat would have to be bought separately. Aranis added that, living in Japan, the plan had been to eat one kind of dish at every meal and that curry had taken over instead, and a viewer asked whether the udon had been eaten, which led Aranis to mention the udon chain Marugame Seimen.

Later in the stream, Aranis asked how chat eats curry and rice, mixing them together or scooping them separately. Aranis said that mixing was the way, with the rice soaked in the sauce, and that a partner eats it the other way. Several viewers said they scoop carefully, while others said they mix everything, and one joked that Aranis had mixed it all.

Elsewhere in the evening, Aranis showed a new outfit that had just arrived, called it very cute, and asked whether choosing it had been a mistake. Chat said it was not. At the close, viewers filled the chat with good-night wishes.
