Shiro Leon Clears Taipei Metro Horror ARG Without Spoilers, Chat Cheers
The multi-ending web game, set in Songjiang Nanjing Station, turned from a commuter’s night out into a cult story with a foot-bath twist.
M.ENTERTAINMENT — Shiro Leon played through a multi-ending horror web ARG set in Songjiang Nanjing Station on the Taipei Metro, and chat congratulated Shiro Leon on clearing every ending as the stream wound down. Shiro Leon said the game was well made, full of small touches, and that solving it took some leaps of imagination.
Shiro Leon began by saying Shiro Leon had kept clear of spoilers and did not know whether the fear would come from people or from ghosts. Puzzle-solving was not a strength, Shiro Leon admitted, but the genre was a favorite, and Shiro Leon said help from people who had already played was an option if stuck. The game follows a commuter who ends a night out with a friend by entering the station at Exit 7. Shiro Leon followed the colored guide lines on the floor, then stopped at a restroom whose door carried a note with a phone number one digit too long, and met a bald man standing at the sink.
“Oh no, what I drank was his foot-wash water.” — Shiro Leon, after a vision in the game
The page later turned into something else: a missing-person notice for a man last seen near the station in 2016 in a school uniform, with a hotline number that again had an extra digit, then a website of “Organ Girls” profiles where most pages were closed and a members-only wall blocked the rest. When the game offered to skip a platformer minigame and go straight to the story, Shiro Leon refused and kept retrying it, saying the figures grew more crowded and seemed to run faster the further in Shiro Leon got.
Later, with a membership card and a bottle of “organ water” in hand, Shiro Leon rode an elevator to floor B18. Drinking the water triggered a vision of a couple washing a man’s feet in a bathroom, and Shiro Leon realized what had been swallowed. Chat filled with disgust and the words “foot-wash water.” At the close, Shiro Leon said an Organ Girls sequel was something to look forward to, then signed off, saying the next stream would be reading stories with Gaga, and admitting to a start at small footsteps from the living room.
