Daimonji Ryugon Joins Four Teams for ARK Server’s First Boss Event
Earlier in the stream, Daimonji found Spring Drakelings on the Astraeos map, where an online guide had said none spawned.
VOMS — Daimonji Ryugon took part in the first day of a boss-fight event on the Nyanya server, a community ARK: Survival Ascended server, on Saturday. Players from four teams gathered, joined one alliance so that healing and buffs would reach everyone, and summoned a boss. It went down faster than the group expected, and they chose a tougher one, a giant ape, for a second round. The Tek engram that unlocks only after a boss is beaten also came up as a prize worth chasing.
Afterward, the people running the event polled the group on rewards. The day’s reward would be a saddle for a favorite dinosaur, delivered as an item to the Steam name each player posted in chat along with the creature they wanted. Weapons might be offered at later events, which would continue from the next day.
“You really don’t know until you check with your own eyes.” — Daimonji Ryugon, after finding a Spring Drakeling
The evening had begun with a routine run for wyvern eggs, which Daimonji said he feels off without. About 40 minutes in, he came across a Spring Drakeling, the creature he had wanted most. A guide he had searched said it did not live on the Astraeos map. He tamed it and wondered aloud whether he was the first to report one there. He later tamed a hot-spring dinosaur, a creature with a spring on its back that speeds up health regeneration. It was too big to store in a ball, so he carried it home.
After the boss event, the group defended an Element node against waves of attackers and mined it with a Therizinosaurus, collecting about 400 Element. The center of the node, which Daimonji expected to be the richest part, yielded nothing when drilled. He also found that creatures uploaded earlier could be pulled out on the server, though their levels had reset.
Building a Tek generator needs the engram from a boss fight, and Daimonji named that as a reason to join the next one. He also planned to visit caves the next day. He signed off saying he looked forward to it.
