Zander Netherbrand of FIRST STAGE PRODUCTION’s EN Avallum unveiled a week of 10 streams during his Coffee Date, a *zatsudan*, or chat stream, that ran about four and a half hours. “That’s a normal week,” he said as the schedule graphic came up, adding that management had not yet signed off on the final version because the previous day was a national holiday in Japan.

The week starts with Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days later that day. He said the game has had two large updates, with new survivors, reworked traits, pets and a scenario mode, and that he would build a scenario of his own. A Project Zomboid collab follows, then a free-climbing game he described as a slow, emotional story with climbing droids, and Dress Maker, a game about running a turn-of-the-century dress shop that he joked would open “the House of Zanny Vuitton.” On Friday he returns to modded Minecraft, which he said has become a regular on his schedule, followed by Police Contraband, a border-checkpoint game he compared to Papers, Please in 3D. Saturday brings a dinner date with Ry, streamed as two separate points of view, and House Flipper 2. Sunday he continues The Sultan’s Game, a roguelike visual novel with dice, with nine cards left.

“I like being a ray of sunshine. And I like being able to cheer you guys on.” — Zander Netherbrand, on what he hopes to give his viewers

Zander also said he had added vertical streaming to his rotation, so the Coffee Date can be found in phone feeds alongside the usual widescreen version. He spent a few minutes adjusting his position on screen for mobile viewers and said it was an experiment to see whether it changes anything.

Earlier in the stream he answered a viewer’s question about lopsided Magic: The Gathering games, saying fast, ramp-heavy decks can leave one player far behind if the right cards do not arrive early. He also talked about his plans to make music this coming year and said he has big plans as his third anniversary, about two months away, approaches. Chat greeted him with “yes you are centered” as he lined up the vertical view and ended with “Thanks for the nice coffee date.” He signed off about an hour and a half before his next stream.
