Sinder, an independent streamer on Twitch, turned a sponsored Goddess of Victory: NIKKE fourth-anniversary stream into a group effort, setting up an on-screen battle in which viewers helped command characters against the Raptures.

Sinder told chat she needed its help to fight off the Raptures and explained that up to 20 chatters at a time could join the battle, with the rest waiting in a queue and able to pop up on screen later in the stream. Chat answered by flooding the screen with the command to join, and she later told viewers “Good job, you guys” after the group landed in the top six.

“I’m still extremely nervous for the next chapter. It’s crazy that there’s been 50 chapters already.” — Sinder, near the end of the stream

Not everything ran smoothly. While she chased a character she wanted from the game’s pulls, saying “Third try is the charm” and “I need my queen,” her music cut out, her overlay broke and the game crashed, which she blamed on OBS. She was then held up by a login error while she tried to get the game back up.

The biggest chat reaction came with the return of Dorothy in the story. Chat filled with cheers as the character declared herself the goddess of victory, and Sinder said Dorothy looked pretty and that the corruption had been cleared quickly. She guessed that something bad might still be coming for the character Anderson, because she did not think both could get happy endings.

Closing out the game, Sinder said she loved NIKKE and thanked viewers for subs, bits and a hype train, adding that she was unsure whether she would stream chapter 50. Later she showed off new pieces for her avatar model that an artist had drawn at the last minute, saying they came out better than she expected, and said a collab planned for the next day had run into trouble because two of the partners had something come up.
