Shylily Shows a Chibi Furry Model, and Chat Answers With a Wall of Praise
The independent Twitch streamer made the change mid-stream while leveling in World of Warcraft.
INDEPENDENT — Shylily switched to a chibi furry version of her avatar during a World of Warcraft stream on Twitch, and chat filled with “SoCute” emotes within seconds. Messages briefly peaked at about 82 a minute as viewers called the new look a “chibi furry” and a “marketable plushie.” “Hello, furry chibi Lily,” she said as she greeted chat in the new form, and she called herself “cuteness incarnate.” She also checked whether this version of the model still had its phone, saying she had forgotten the key binding for it.
The independent streamer, who plays as an orca character, spent the rest of the stream in the newly released World of Warcraft. She said the game had been out about three days and that she had started playing only the day before, yet was already closing in on level 17 after sleeping just four hours. Chat swapped notes on the game, with several viewers describing their own characters and levels, and she argued that no one could be too far ahead in a game that new.

She described getting lost on the way through an Alliance-held zone the day before. Squeezing past aggressive guards for a quest that gives a bag with a 3 percent experience bonus, she said, she was killed by an Alliance player while trying to teleport out with her hearthstone. Later in the stream she tried to deliver a quest report to a tunnel in southern Ashenvale, again through Alliance territory. Viewers offered routes, including going south of Astranaar and avoiding the town’s guards, and she concluded that the nearby monsters were too high a level and went back to leveling in the Stonetalon Mountains first.
Before signing off she tamed an owlbear as a pet, saying it could swipe and would be useful in dungeons, and said she had finished her second dungeon with her group. She checked auction house prices for bigger bags, found the 10-slot ones too expensive and decided to keep her 8- and 12-slot bags. She apologized for a stream she called short at about five hours, said she would be back the next day, and left for dinner. Chat closed with a long run of goodbyes.
